The Role:

* Transform the way in which B2C achieves improvement in its business and operational performance. Mentor and develop those high potential individuals as they undertake operational excellence activities. Oversee their return to line-of-business roles and continue to support them thereafter.
* Sponsor the core competency set for operational excellence. Design, select and recruit a core team of operational practitioners/experts.
* Be the leading authority and point of reference on matters of operational excellence.

Responsible for driving forward complex improvement initiatives with multiple workstreams to deliver stretching efficiency targets requiring close collaboration with the process owners and a very tight control and management of benefit delivery.
* Deliver operational improvement and business efficiencies. Originate and implement cost efficiency and productivity improvement activities to achieve >10% improvement per year.
* For key customer-facing processes (for example product launches or service innovation), cut the cycle time to deliver by over 50%.
* Drive out non-quality to substantially improve customer experience, including reducing customer complaints by a factor of 10.

The Person:

Educated to degree level, the post holder will have significant operational experience and be an experienced practitioner of continuous improvement methodologies, and be a seasoned Lean, or equivalent methodology, Practitioner.
