Our client currently has an opportunity for a Section Manager at their Brackley site (NN13 7EX).

The Role:

• As a Section Manager you will consistently and cost effectively manage the Production process and a team of operatives in order to meet Cost, Quality, Productivity and Safety targets set by the Company.
• In this role you will be required to liaise with relevant internal departments to ensure the product is produced and despatched in accordance with the Production Plan.
• In conjunction with the Production co-ordinator, you will adjust the process flow to meet volume and mix targets.
• You will ensure operations are conducted in compliance with customer specifications and that Food Standards legislation is adhered to throughout the production and despatch process.
• The coaching and development of staff to improve individual and departmental performance is key to this role, you will continually look to develop staff within the section to ensure that staff are fully utilising their skills.
• You will ensure the appropriate delegation of tasks within the section, and ensure staffing levels are within the establishment and that resource is effectively utilised.
• Alongside this you will develop and review good working practices, SOP’s and SWP’s in accordance with their policies.

The Candidate:

• You will have proven experience in leading a team and managing people, preferably within a FMCG environment.
• With a proactive approach you will be a true team player with the ability to organise others and allocate work effectively, to ensure team and project objectives are delivered to standard and on time.
• Reviewing and implementing continuous improvement initiatives is key, for their production role you will have ‘Lean Manufacturing’ knowledge and familiarity with the tools and methods for process development.
• Excellent communication skills at all levels together with strong problem solving ability is also required.

Educated to Honours degree level and/or equivalent in a relevant subject, you must hold a teaching qualification and have experience of the delivery of English OR Maths to GCSE and A level with the capability of teaching English and Maths to L3.
