Applicants should be able to provide evidence of successful Six Sigma project implementation within a manufacturing environment and will also possess a good working knowledge of modern systems and philosophies – including but not limited to: ISO9000, TQM, APQP, PPAP and Lean Manufacturing principles.

You will undertake investigation and reporting on both customer quality issues using 8D visual reporting and on internal quality issues during the assembly process. You will perform In process inspection, audits and data collection and CMM operation, with regular supplier and customer liaison required.

To be considered for this varied and challenging role, it is envisaged the successful candidate will possess a working knowledge of general engineering / machining / power press operations and be educated to at least ONC or equivalent. You will possess the ability to think laterally, whilst remaining calm under pressure and able to adopt a flexible approach to all aspects of the role. Good communication skills, particularly the ability to influence and persuade others and being fully computer literate with all Microsoft Office applications is also essential for the role.

We are located at Howarth Road in Maidenhead, UK SL6 1AP. We currently have a position
available for an experienced Quality Engineer to support the facility. This position will
provide support for the shop floor enabling facility to meet set goals. Provide training and
influences the culture within the facility to ensure only “top quality” work is accepted
as normal daily output.

Responsible for ensuring that all inspections and quality audits are performed
in accordance with the Repair Station Manual, Quality Control Manual for all
completed airworthy work prior to being released for return to service and that
the correct inspection records, reports, forms and maintenance release are used and
properly executed. Serves as the key liaison to the regulatory authorities including
CAA, TCCA, FAA and DOT to ensure the facility maintains approvals and is in
compliance with the latest required regulations.
