The Opportunity:

Overall Responsibility

To achieve daily individual sales and profit targets through the effective use of resources and to pro-actively maintain and develop the branch sales and profitability by value added selling and enhancing customer relationships.

Specific Duties:

- Promptly deal with customer orders received over the trade counter, via post or telephone.
- Suggest appropriate product alternatives if applicable and to take advantage of all add on selling opportunities to maximize sales and profit whilst maintaining the highest levels of customer satisfaction and confidence.
- Be highly pro-active in cultivating and achieving additional telephone sales, particularly during quiet periods.
- Nurture Customer business covering all products range using, Vecta, Kerridge, Customer Data & Marketing information to achieve individual and branch profit targets.
- Participate in and maximize all marketing and promotional offers to achieve desired results.
- Be fully aware and, understand and adhere to the Company policy on cash, cheque and credit card transactions received on behalf of the company.
- Ensure all working and display areas are maintained in a clean and tidy condition.
- Have due regard for the health and safety of yourself and other members of staff.
- To adhere to Company procedures and to complete all required administration accurately, effectively and on time.
- To assist in the training and development of branch staff.
- To carry out any reasonable request as directed by the Branch Manager, and to cover in their absence when requested.
