The Graduate Sales Specialist Opportunity:
We have an exciting opportunity for a Graduate Sales Specialist to join our successful sales team. Reporting to the Product Development Manager you will focus on developing profitable business opportunities through providing formulation solutions and meeting marketing briefs via the promotion of our product portfolio to research and new product development teams within our customer’s technical functions. You will also work closely with new and existing suppliers to meet their current and future need. This is a full time role - both field and office based.

Graduate Sales Specialist Key Responsibilities:
> The achievement of agreed sales and margin budgets
> Effectively deal with customer enquiries of a technical /formulation nature for the industry
> Make customer and supplier visits as required to progress new sales and new suppliers
> To prepare a technical plan / pipeline in line with the marketing plan and report on progress.
> Deliver product training and support for the account management team
Graduate Sales Specialist Key Tasks:
> Understand and continue to learn about the product range
> Keep abreast of industry and market trends
> Contribute to the design and implementation of a strategic plan, in conjunction with industry strategy for key / target customers and key / push product portfolios
> Success of exhibitions as measured by level of customer enquiries and project development.
> Deliver business reporting as required
> Attend and contribute to meetings.
> To plan appropriate customer and supplier visits
> Liaise with European teams as appropriate or required
> Compliance to all company procedures, safety and legislative requirements
What we are looking for:
> Above all, you should demonstrate a drive and passion for technical sales and customer development while being naturally industrious and organised.
> It is essential that you are able to work effectively within all levels of an organisation and have the ability to prioritise and multi-task and, crucially, be prepared to take ownership and meaningful action.
> As a true professional you will be positive and inquisitive by nature, possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills and sound technical acumen.
> An enthusiastic team player, you will be able to develop relations and positively influence customers, suppliers and colleagues.
> Ideally holding a science degree or have equivalent work experience - you will be technically able and, whilst not essential, experience within the cosmetic or pharmaceutical industries is desirable.
