Reporting to the Site Manufacturing Manager with a dotted line report to the SHEQ Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of health, safety, quality and environmental compliance, meeting customer service requirements and production targets.
The candidate will hold a NEBOSH certificate and ideally have a degree in Chemical Engineering. Chemical plant leadership is desirable along with experience in a first line supervisory role, with the ability to motivate and lead. Experience is managing production is essential.
You will have experience of lean manufacturing processes, safety legislation and best practice within a manufacturing environment.
Knowledge Transfer Manager The Knowledge Centre for Materials Chemistry (“KCMC”) Location: Runcorn Salary dependent on qualifications and experience
Purpose: To link the chemistry-using industries across the UK with the partner research institutions in order to facilitate collaboration between industry and academia and develop the KCMC project portfolio at these research institutions.
Job Scope * Reports to KCMC Director
Responsible for assigned research institutions * Research Income generated ~£1.5 million pa
Key Accountabilities: * Raise awareness of the KCMC within the chemistry-using industry in the UK and beyond. * Deliver agreed business goals for knowledge transfer with partner research institutions. * Recommend how the capabilities of the KCMC should be developed to match the needs of industry.
Qualifications: * Hold a degree in Chemistry or Chemical engineering and PhD or equivalent
Background/Experience: * Relevant industrial experience, including project management and legal/intellectual property requirements of industrial research * Track record of generating new projects and winning support for them from key stakeholders

Chemical Blender Location: Loughborough, LE11 5TR Salary: £6.50 - £7.25 per hour An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Chemical Blender to join our client’s successful and expanding team based in Loughborough.
Who are we looking for? As the ideal candidate you will have previous experience within a similar position / environment; however this is not essential as full training will be provided. About the role As Chemical Blender you will weigh and measure raw materials into medium to large size mixing vessels, to produce a range of cleaning products.
You main duties will include: • Handling of all equipment, materials and chemicals in an efficient and safe manner • Accurately complete all necessary paperwork • Consistently meet or exceed production demands and needs • Conduct basic trouble shooting of all blending equipment and processes
This position is 40 hours per week, working Monday to Friday.

Our chemical manufacturing client has an opportunity for a self-motivated, safety conscious individual to join their company on the Ince site as a Shift Operating Technician.
You will join the Ammonia Shift Production Team reporting to the Shift Manager and your role within the team will be to deliver the safe, efficient and environmentally responsible operation of a large scale continuous ammonia plant.
This varied role encompasses both plant-based and Control Room operations. You will be required to work within a tightly controlled ISO-certified operation, and monitor plant parameters to ensure the highest product quality and plant efficiency is maintained whilst working within strict environmental consents. You will be expected to prepare equipment for maintenance work and issue permits for any work to ensure that the maintenance work can be completed safely and efficiently.
The successful candidate must have previous chemical process plant experience, and preferably have attained a relevant supporting qualification such as City & Guilds Process Plant Operations / Process Technology level 3, a QCF/NVQ level 3 gained in a relevant chemical processing environment, or equivalent. Experience with continuous plants, and computerised control systems would be an advantage. You will be accustomed to working to specific standards and will have a proven background of excellent safety awareness in the workplace.
