.NET Developer Opportunities (IT, Software, Programmer) BLUN11008
Adlington
Competitive Salary (depending upon experience)

Our client is the world's leading provider of vehicle remarketing services, with 20,000 employees in 107 operating locations around the globe. Established in 1945 as a wholesale vehicle auction operation, last year alone they handled nearly 8 million used vehicles, facilitating transactions representing more than $50 billion in value. Here in the UK, the Group operates in 27 locations, from which the entire product range is available. Their products are inextricably linked to the used vehicle lifecycle and many of their customers use services from more than one area of the business, carefully managed by a team of dedicated and experienced professionals.

They are now looking to recruit a number of Developers at various different levels, to join them and assist with developing C# web based applications for the motor industry.

The role will involve working with the latest C# web technology under an experienced technical architect on projects that will be used by both end consumers and employees in a car retail showroom environment. The web technology will be used to present data driven web pages that will act more like an application for e-commerce or business purposes than a standard, information based website. Daily tasks will include coding in a small team working from specifications on existing and new products for the Group.

Senior Developers will be expected to code and help guide and develop a small group of Developers with similar skill set as your own.

With a good understanding of the internet, systems, web technologies and web service architectures, the successful Developer will be proficient in software development and also in C#, ASP.NET and web programming. With in-depth knowledge and experience of the software development lifecycle, you will have the ability to understand, improve and debug legacy code whilst being experienced with object-orientated software development methodologies and practices.

Able to write clear technical documentation to support the delivery of a software project, you will be competent with relational databases and have working knowledge of SQL Server. Candidates who have knowledge of UML are highly desirable, however this is not essential.

In addition to the above, Senior Developers must have leadership qualities and have the ability to teach and guide the less experienced Developers.
