Duties include but are not limited to:

Cleaning of communal areas:

- Vacuuming/cleaning of communal areas (entrance lobbies, hallways, corridors).
- Adhere to strict timed rotas to complete work as time on site limited.
- Polishing/dusting of internal woodwork/balustrades.
- Cleaning internal windows and door glass.
- Cleaning door furniture and kick plates.
- Checking and cleaning communal lights (internal and external), replacing bulbs and reporting faults where necessary.
- Litter picking the site and keeping bin/recycling stores clean and tidy.
- Sweeping and keeping tidy communal paths, walkways and car parks.
- Pressure washing paths, walkways and car parks.
- Grass cutting and edging of grass areas.
- Weeding flower/shrub beds and borders.
- Pruning and dead heading plants/shrubs (seasonally).

Building Management:

- Collect meter readings for communal utilities.
- Carry out routing emergency system testing to include services such as emergency lighting, fire alarms, smoke vents, etc (for which training will be provided).

Skills / Competencies required:

- Be of a practical nature, ideally with a background in either commercial cleaning, gardening or maintenance.
- Be punctual and be able to follow a routine/rota to ensure high standards are maintained at all times.
- Have good social skills and be able to communicate with colleagues and residents professionally and courteously on a daily basis.
- Be able to identify maintenance or management issues and report these directly to the Facilities General Manager/Estate Manager at head office.
- Be able to complete standard forms to record events on a regular basis (i.e. system testing).
- Be able to work between Monday and Friday, but to be flexible to work additional hours if necessary (i.e. assisting with out of hours emergencies or where additional cover is required).
- Have a positive “can do” attitude to solving problems.
- Be fit and able to carry out the duties required.
- Be legally able to work in the UK.
- Have a full, clean driving licence.

A fully stocked vehicle and all necessary equipment will be supplied where required.

Essential skills include -

The System Engineer will work within the Technology Group and will be responsible for providing mechanical design resource to their brands.

These design activities fall into several areas:

• Mechanical system architecture
• Tolerance analysis and allocation
• Prototype validation
• Introducing new products to manufacturing
• Product testing and approvals

You will be required to design the mechanical aspects of multiple products and projects including system modelling, identifying the critical parameters and allocating tolerances. You will create the appropriate control documentation and identify SPC and control parameters for new products.

Degree qualified, or with equivalent experience in a relevant mechanical discipline, you will have previous system engineering knowledge including requirement flow-down and critical parameter management. You will have experience of new product introduction within electrical / electronic and / or mechanical industries have ideally had exposure to plastic moulding, however, this is not essential.

It is essential that you have experience in CAD packages such as SolidWorks and / or ProE and you will have previously had experience of Design of Experiments (DOE) and their application.

There will be an expectation of some regular UK travel with occasional foreign travel therefore it is essential that you have a full driving licence and current passport.
