Our client is one of the largest providers of residential care for adults with learning disabilities in the South East, with homes located in Hampshire, East & West Sussex and Kent. They pride themselves on delivering high quality care, support and accommodation to adults with a wide range of learning disability needs, communication difficulties and challenging behaviours.

Role 1: Support Workers

37.5 hours per week, Monday to Sunday
These rewarding roles mean that you will be assisting people with learning difficulty within a housing setting to lead fulfilling lives via the provision of support, assistance and personal care.
You will be working with the people our client support to ensure that they have new experiences and access to a varied range of leisure, educational, spiritual activities and services within the community in which they live.
As a Senior, you will be assisting the Registered Home Manager in all aspects of the operational management of the Care Home including helping to promote positive participation of relatives, friends and important others in the lives of the individual service users.
Assisting in the administration and operational needs of the service, its finances, maintenance of the building, equipment, security and health and safety are also roles in which you will be involved, along with responsibility for supervising staff to ensure that they are undertaking their duties as per their job specification.
This fully participative role will mean that you and the other staff will be assisting the people our client support with cooking, shopping, domestic tasks, gardening and others related to normal routine within a house environment.
High domestic standards are important to them therefore all staff are responsible for cleaning, hygiene and provision of meals for well-balanced diets that meet the cultural and dietary needs of the service users. Along with this you will need to be prepared to provide personal care for service users, as appropriate which may involve washing, dressing, toileting, intimate personal care, administering medication, lifting (in accordance with health and safety guidelines) and basic nursing.
Please be aware that all of our client’s staff work within the framework of a staff rota, based upon the service user’s needs and the requirements of the organisation.
