The Role:

They have a unique new opening for a Vessel Finance Controller to work within the Cruise Division.

You will have responsibility for maintaining accurate financial reports for each of your assigned ships and to produce timely, accurate and meaningful management reports for in-house departments and the vessel owners.

Key tasks and responsibilities will include:

- Build the relationship with the Client to ensure all necessary management information required is provided in a timely manner
- Ensure the financial information flow between the ships and accounting hub is organised efficiently
- Ensure financial information provided to the Client is representative of the vessels activities and trading
- Ensure fund requests are prepared on the basis of the known liabilities falling due with the period to the next scheduled fund request so that all commitments paid within the agreed terms
- Financial reporting to Clients – review of all accounting reports prior to distribution
- Variance reporting including quarterly forecasts
- Fleet liability reporting – review and comment on the report prior to submission
- Monitoring of outstanding invoices
- Liaison with Client auditors

The Person:

It is preferable that you are ACCA / CIMA qualified or working towards qualification or be qualified through experience.

You will possess excellent spoken and written communication skills, an accurate and methodical approach to work, good organisational skills and have the ability to work to tight deadlines.

You will be producing schedules and quotes as required, negotiating with suppliers and meeting strict deadlines. This will require knowledge of how to interpret building plans.



Other responsibilities will include:

Supervising staff as required, this will include delegation, training and coaching colleagues in product knowledge, branch procedures and generally supporting management with instilling a customer focused and efficient service throughout the branch.

You will also act as Duty Manager on occasion, being responsible for management decisions in the absence of Branch/Trading Managers along with the opening and closing of the branch.
