The job duties will include:

1) Responsibility for the assessment, training, support supervision and development of foster carers.

6) Prepare and Present fostering assessments and foster carer reviews to the Fostering Panel.
7) To support foster carers in meeting the needs of children in placement, as identified in the care plans, and to monitor the outcomes of children as per the requirements of the placing authority.
8) Ensure that statutory fostering regulations and standards are adhered to
9) Attend Statutory Reviews, placement meetings, disruption meetings and Child
Protection case Conferences where required.

In order to meet the specifications for this position you must hold one of the following qualifications: CQSW, CSS. DipSW or a BA in Social Work. You should also have post qualification experience of direct work with Looked After Children/ young people and their families. Experience of working in fostering or adoption to include some experience of training, reviewing, supervising and supporting foster carers would be beneficial.
You must also be registered with the GSCC.
You should also have knowledge of Child Care legislation and National Standards in foster care Fostering Services Regulations 2002, The Children Act 1989, The Children Act 2004 and the Care Standards

This is an interesting and varied role that will provide a good development opportunity for the right candidate. This is an ideal opportunity for a registered nurse to benefit from training and specialise in this area.


You will take ownership of care programmes for dialysis patients with end stage renal disease or acute renal failure, working closely with dieticians, counsellors and other specialists. By ensuring that care pathways are tailored to meet clinical requirements, work, family and social needs, you will help provide the stable environment, emotional support and independence patients need to achieve required outcomes.


Am I the right person for this role?
The successful Staff Nurse must have the ability to communicate sensitively with people from all cultures and backgrounds, as they will have a passion for delivering high quality care. They will be proactive and highly organised as they will be adaptable and able to meet changing working patterns and caseload, working independently as well as within the team. The individual will have to be RGN with a current NMC pin.


A recordable Renal Nursing qualification is ideal but we also welcome applications from Registered Staff Nurses with non-renal backgrounds that would benefit from our outstanding training.
