Based in Bath, the successful candidate will demonstrate proven control software development skills and previous successful project management experience gained within a technically challenging environment, and will undertake both programming and maintaining of various control systems that are operated on small “gas to power” generation sites throughout the UK.


With essential proven successful project management abilities and a detailed knowledge of PLC programming (with experience of Schneider Electric products and Unity programming proving distinctly advantageous although ladder logic skills transferrable across varying platforms will be favourably considered), the successful candidate will be expected to manage all technical aspects of projects in addition to planning and scheduling them directly with clients across the country, and necessitating travel to client sites in the Midlands on a couple of occasions each month along with project site visits when required.

Regular client contact will also be required as part of the role.

The suitable candidate:

You may be a recent graduate in a Computing discipline or similar with a keen interest and some experience in Business Analysis or Project Management - this may have been gained via your own projects or possibly through an industrial placement year.

Alternatively you may have already started your business analysis career and are now looking for your next move.

In both cases a technical appreciation of the software development lifecycle and programming languages would be useful as would be any formal project/programme management ability.

As this role is client facing you will also need to have first rate stakeholder management skills.

Our client is seeking an IT Services Manager to join their team in Weston Super Mare.
Reporting to the Head of IT you will lead a team of infrastructure and service desk professionals to ensure the efficient, stable, reliable and secure operations of their technology.

The IT Services Manager will be responsible for overseeing and directing the operational infrastructure environment including business as usual and upgrades, and managing the operational relationships with 3rd party and internal suppliers ensuring compliance with all relevant regulatory frameworks. Proactive in your approach you will introduce new technology solutions for current business challenges as well as undertaking proactive planning on all aspects of the environment (storage/networking/servers/etc).

Excellent English language and numerical skills are essential as well as experience of managing a responsive service desk.
