Opportunities include:



* Vehicle mechanic: Working on engines and vehicle systems, you diagnose problems and come up with repair solutions. Advanced training equips you to work on everything from motorcycles and generators to armoured vehicles, trucks and tanks.



* General Fitter:You service, maintain and repair plant machinery, such as JCBs or Caterpillar excavator. You'll become an expert in workshop practice, understanding petrol and diesel engines, generators and pumps.



* Engineer logistics specialist

Working on base and in combat zones, you make sure essential supplies get to where they’re needed, safely and at the right time



* Geographic support technician

You compile and manage geographic data from a variety of sources. The detailed analysis you provide, with access to advanced IT kit and geographic information systems, is essential.



* Survey engineer

Your input is vital in large-scale building projects. You’ll map out the site before work starts, using GPS technology to ensure the site is set out correctly to plan.



Qualifications to gain include:

* Apprenticeship Level 2 NVQ in Warehousing and Storage
* Foundation Modern Apprenticeship (FMA)
* Level 2 NVQ in Engineer Maintenance and Installation
* Variety of driving licences
* National Certificate in Building Studies and Computer Aided Design
* NVQ Level 2 in IT
* Level 5 Higher Diploma in Engineering Surveying





Qualifications required: Not all of these roles require any previous qualification. Some may require 2 GCSEs at C grade in English Language and Maths /Science/ICT.

As a result of continued success and a planned programme of strategic growth, they are now seeking to recruit an experienced and highly capable Senior System Integration Engineer to complement their established team working on a range of state-of-the-art technology projects.

To be considered for this varied and challenging role, the successful candidate will demonstrate a full understanding of how a complex system works and the capability to flow down system requirements into a complete and consistent set of system integration procedures.

You will be accountable for the definition, management and execution of the system integration tests throughout the system life cycle, from early definition, to development, to verification testing and validation in flight. Additionally you will be responsible for the generation, analysis, and resolution of Problem Reports and participating in the Review Boards where appropriate, whilst being able to comply with strict Company Processes, Quality standards and Civil and Military Regulations.

It is envisaged that the successful candidate will have a Degree (or higher) in Aerospace, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering and a background in software and/or hardware engineering with a proven track record of experience with Flight Control System (FCS) or similar avionic system design and verification. Familiarity with MATLAB and MATLAB SIMULINK for simulation and modelling and DOORs for management reporting will prove distinctly advantageous.

It is essential that to be considered for this position, you must be eligible to live and work in the UK and either currently hold or be able to attain full UK MoD SC clearance. Working as part of a multi-disciplined team of engineers to design, test and
release new products as specified. This is a complete 'cradle to grave' role.
You will be responsible for seeing the project from the initial enquiry,
specification, planning, design, testing and introduction into both production
and the market. This is a 'hands on role' with support from other engineers,
ideally contributing a core discipline of hydraulic design to the team.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITY
To assist in the specification of new products working with marketing,
sales, service, customers and manufacturing to capture the
requirements.
Plan and implement the development cycle for new products
To ensure that designs meet all requirements specified and that they
are compatible with established engineering standards and other
legislation.
To produce 3D CAD models (Solid Works), detailed drawings and
assembly drawings. To follow 'Design for manufacture' best practice
and ensure that designs can be economically manufactured either inhouse
or by sub-contractors
Developing, testing and evaluating theoretical designs
To enter bills of material, routings and manufacturing instructions into
ERP system (Vantage) for use in manufacturing.
To liaise with external suppliers, the purchasing, QA and manufacturing
departments and customers to ensure successful implementation of
new designs.
Draft user documentation including technical bulletins and manuals.
To participate in other projects or carry out specific tasks that may be
assigned by the Engineering Director from time to time.
