Reporting to the Head of IT you will lead a team of infrastructure and service desk professionals to ensure the efficient, stable, reliable and secure operations of their technology.

The IT Services Manager will be responsible for overseeing and directing the operational infrastructure environment including business as usual and upgrades, and managing the operational relationships with 3rd party and internal suppliers ensuring compliance with all relevant regulatory frameworks. Proactive in your approach you will introduce new technology solutions for current business challenges as well as undertaking proactive planning on all aspects of the environment (storage/networking/servers/etc).

Working flexibly as a member of the wider IT team you will support others, respond to customer and business needs and also manage the IT infrastructure and resources. Other duties will include system development and network design; you will oversee the production of network designs, strategies and architectures.

The successful candidate will have experience of working in a complex IT environment. Knowledge and understanding of project management in the delivery of managing multiple projects and IT budgets is required. A passion for customer service and well developed interpersonal skills are a necessity for this role. Excellent English language and numerical skills are essential as well as experience of managing a responsive service desk.

Working knowledge of the following would be beneficial, Microsoft Windows Server 2033/2008/2012, Citrix Access Suite (Citrix Xenapp), Microsoft exchange, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, IIS, Back up and system recovery, SAN’s, HP Dataprotector, Fibre channel, Cisco Routers and various other applications.

During the order process ensure that Customers are regularly updated regarding their orders. Ownership for the validation of all orders which includes ensuring that requirements are agreed with the customer directly, close liaison with solutions consulting and accurate pricing prior to passing a clean order to sales administration for processing.
Ownership through order validation and delivery including any necessary change control with DC’s and other Operational units, including changes to commercials. Provide validation of all orders before processing. Using checklists validate clean order requirements and undertake DSL checks where appropriate and engagement with Procurement to obtain quotes. Ensure Legal checks are carried out against Framework Agreement and that contract schedules are in place, notifying legal where necessary. Escalate any orders in jeopardy according to reporting line, including the management & proactive escalation of internal orders for lines ceased in error or replacement lines to fix faults. Ownership of the qualification of incremental business to an agreed value and complexity. Working directly with Account Manager’s and Solutions Consulting teams, owning the process for obtaining appropriate quote requests, order submission, then following this through to ensure effective implementation. Proactively understand allocated customer’s business drivers and strategic priorities, inputting to the relevant Account Development Plan sections. This will enable a better understanding of customers, to ensure the most suitable services are ordered and to support new orders and facilitate Account Development. Proactive management of the renewal process, ensuring timely preparation of all contractual information in readiness for customer renewal negotiations and closure. Working closely with the Account Manager, following up with the Customer on all actions and managing internal channels to ensure all required information is obtained and the appropriate teams briefed. This includes:
• Understand the contract start date (based on RFU) asking finance for Out of Contract (OOC) percentage.
• Building the ‘as is’ Pricing Tool (MPT) accurately reflecting the network as it is today and all additional services including all costs.
