An exciting opportunity is available for a graduate level Business Development Executive to join a global provider and awarding body of British education. Based in its Head Office in Didsbury, Manchester the successful Business Development Executive will earn up to £20,000, depending on experience.

The role of the Business Development Executive is to maintain an excellent standard of communication between the company and both current and potential customers. Reporting to the Regional Manager your key duties will include but not limited to:

• Profile target partners to support the preparation of prospecting activities, identify suspects, build and maintain a database of key contacts
• Maintain information of in-country government and MoE requirements, as defined by the Regional Manager
• Conduct competitive market research to support regional sales activities
• Responsible for prospecting target partners within the region, to include cold calling, lead qualification
• Route and assign qualified leads to Regional Manager for future action
• Work with the appropriate head office teams and ensure that the correct processes are followed with regard to new contracts and the setting up of new centres on internal systems
• In conjunction with the Finance Department resolve invoicing queries that require input from the Regional Manager
• Liaise with the Academic function and assist new centres in preparing paperwork for accreditation
• Deal with assigned sales activities, as determined by the Regional Manager, to grow business with existing centres (new products and increase student numbers etc.)
• Provide support to the Regional Manager for the creation of ad-hoc sales presentations and proposal documentation

The successful Business Development Manager will possess the following skills and experience:

• Degree qualification desirable
• Experience of face to face selling/telesales/prospecting, ideally in a B2B environment
• Experience in working to set targets and focused on delivering results with the ability to consistently follow processes
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word and PowerPoint) as well as search engines and how to research/prospect using the internet
• Additional European language skills desirable (Spanish or Portuguese)
• Excellent communication, presentation and organisation skills
• Possess a confident, professional and effective telephone manner with the ability to converse with senior decision makers and key influencers with ease
• Excellent written communications skills, able to articulate a sales proposition and interact professionally and effectively via all mediums
• Detail oriented and able to analyse information and data and draw conclusions
• Able to operate under own initiative, identify and resolve problems, seek advice and management decisions as needed
• Internal and external customer focus, able to develop and build respectful relationships through effective team working
• Adaptable with Interpersonal Awareness

This role is for an experienced Sales Manager with the gravitas to build excellent business relationships and who can manage a team of Business Development Managers.

The role of the BDM is very much a soft sell, relationship building, selling a service to professionals such as Accountants and Solicitors who in turn recommend the service to their client, very much an introductory recommend service, not a hard sell.

The role of the Sales Manager is to manage the KPIs that the BDM work to, monitor their performance against KPI and motivate and support where necessary.

Another element of the position is to manage the third party outsourced telesales relationship that is in place. Again looking at the KPIs and ensuring they are met, offering coaching and training where necessary.

The role will also involve supporting the BDM team, in handling presentations, and networking etc

Full training is offered in terms of the business as quite a niche market place but you must have a very strong understanding of setting and managing KPIs together with the ability to present to audiences of up to 30 professionals.

Ideally you will have come from insurance, banking and financial services and you must have experience of implementing and managing KPIs, that is an essential requirement

Excellent basic salary plus an attractive bonus scheme
