Test Analyst - Developer in Test - Java, Linux - Automation

There are very few 18 month start-ups who already count Barclays, Lloyds, HSBC and PWC as key customers and are turning an extremely healthy profit, but this London-based company have a product that's set to revolutionise the legal and financial services industry globally.

Versions of their Java-based software are live in production, test and development environments concurrently, with new releases and versions pumped out almost daily to keep up with demand, guarantee reliability and incorporate new features requested by clients.

As a result their QA function of six needs to grow by 50% in the immediate term, then nearer 200% over the next two years.

The current need is for a Developer in Test with strong Java or C# knowledge to work alongside the Development team in guaranteeing software is bug free and released in a timely and efficient manner - a kind of code gatekeeper if you will who interacts with the Selenium-based QA function but is focused very much on release.

Strong knowledge of Java or C# are key to this role. Although currently a Tester anyone applying should have at some point worked as a Developer or have development level knowledge. They will also need to have worked in a Linux-based environment without the advantage of a point and click GUI.

This is a BDD and DDD environment so experience would be preferred, but if you've previously been "release police" for any type of software we'd expect full Agile to be in operation.
This is a critical role within the business and is highly likely to lead to other things; such is the speed of organic growth. Running a release function, taking over the testing function, setting up a dev ops function, or simply becoming a highly paid, indispensable part of the company's success are all possible routes a skilled Developer in Test could follow.

If you would like to find out more then please forward your CV to [contact details removed] as soon as possible as I have interview slots available as early as next week.
