This is a small but extremely successful property lettings and management company with a number of properties in Reading.

Whilst the role is based from home and part time (working flexibly 20 hours per week with viewing taking place Monday-Saturday including evenings and Saturday mornings), it is a challenging opportunity with significant scope for the right person to take over many of the duties currently performed by the M.D.

Earning a basic salary of £20,000 pro rata, there is a very realistic opportunity to earn at least £5,000 more in commission from letting the rooms and flats that become available. You’ll be provided with a laptop and mobile phone, but will ideally have your own car and full driving licence (expenses paid).

MAIN DUTIES - PART TIME LETTINGS NEGOTIATOR

Reporting to the MD, you’ll be responsible for maximising the occupancy of, and tenure of tenants in, available accommodation throughout Reading. Specifically you’ll be required to:

- Update rental property websites with details of vacant flats, studios and rooms
- Proactively source potential tenants using rental property website databases
- Deal with interested parties on the telephone and online and make appointments for viewings
- Conduct tenant viewings and promote the benefits of the accommodation
- Negotiate terms
- Process tenancy applications and finalise tenancy agreements
- Draw up inventories
- Keep and maintain Company’s property and tenancy records
As the role develops you’ll be required to conduct property inspections and deal with maintenance issues

KEY SKILLS & RESPONSIBILITIES - PART TIME LETTINGS NEGOTIATOR

- Demonstrable track record of business development, account management or customer service in a sales or retail environment (experience in estate agency/property lettings an advantage)
- Great communication and negotiation skills

- Self sufficient with the ability to self motivate and work autonomously from home
- Flexible and responsive with the ability to organise/prioritise
