THE ROLE:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Area Sales Manager for the Midlands region. The purpose of the position is to oversee the sales operation within your region and to maintain and increase sales of the company products, including, coal, charcoal and wood burning logs.

You will contact existing customers to maintain repeat business (approximately 60%) and generate approximately 40% new business.

ŠKODA Retail Sales Development Manager
(Business Manager / Sales Controller)

This role is a bespoke position for the SKODA network, which amalgamates the business manager and sales controller functions. Employed directly by the SKODA retailer, you would be working alongside the Sales Manager and be responsible for growing Škoda new & used car sales together with improving the finance and insurance performance.

You would be tasked with implementing core behaviours that SKODA UK has identified as being instrumental to success.

This role is not a traditional Business Manager function as you will be expected to control the “three day window” (i.e. all the activity yesterday, today and tomorrow). Measuring the sales funnel, ensuring the department is efficient with their enquiries and driving activity.

On-going coaching and development will be provided to the successful individual by SKODA UK and Volkswagen Financial Services.

Salary is dependent on experience but will range from £35,000 to £45,000 OTE. The pay structure will be biased towards F & I, however you would also be rewarded for other metrics such as achievement of vehicle sales objectives and customer service satisfaction.

Automotive industry experience is required as a Sales Manager, Business Manager or a Senior Sales Executive who is looking to make the next step up to a management role.

The successful individual would need to possess strong sales process knowledge as well as proven F&I skills. This is a “hands on” position and you would be expected to be a very visible part of the sales process, with coaching and development of the team a large part of this role in order to deliver a consistent sustainable business improvement.
