Our client supplies bespoke engineering solutions to a range of industries including automotive, electrical, pharmaceutical and food. The machines produced utilise a wide range of electromechanical devices, instrumentation and sensor technologies.

Due to their continued success they are looking for a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to join a team of engineers designing solutions for industrial automation, test equipment and mechanical handling.

The purpose of this role is to design a one off machine to clients specifications, and follow the project through to installation.

To apply for this role you must be capable of multitasking over a wide range of engineering disciplines with design experience of industrial equipment essential. You will work with engineers and technicians under the direction of Project Managers to fulfill the necessary planning, review and costing exercises deemed necessary. In this way you will be expected to contribute to the management and day to day running of the projects that you are involved in.

The successful applicant will have some academic mechanical and design engineering qualification and will have the opportunity to develop their ability to work on and execute projects from the initial design stage, through manufacturing and test, to on site commissioning and support.
