The role will report to the General Manager with the responsibility of:

- Create a safe working environment

- Ensure all QC systems are effective and oversee
- Improve customer satisfaction
- Actively seek new ways to improve process effectiveness to increase yield and reduce scrap cost
- Establish Quality framework and implement processes to systematically improve product quality & reach accurate disposition of all products
- Control and implement a system for qualifications to ensure new products or process changes will not impact the customer, or the financial performance of the organisation
- Ensure expert failure analysis is provided for the site to establish root cause, & to understand potential quality risks to business. Confirm judgments are accurate, to minimise cost of scrap & to protect the customer through quality tests and audit programs
- Management and development of the inspection and dispatch team.
- Measure and manage customer complaint process, including corrective action procedure. Identify & manage projects aimed at reducing customer complaints
- Provide routine & ad-hoc reports to monitor performance of Key performance indicators
- Review & monitor inspection equipment capability to ensure customer requirements are achieved
- Management Representative responsible for the continuing registration to BS EN ISO9001:2008 or future replacement standards.

Skills and experience desired for this position:

- Educated to degree level in a related technical/engineering discipline, or has gained proven practical experience which equates to this level of qualification preferably with a quality/auditing qualification
- Previous manufacturing experience advantageous
- High degree of numeracy and literacy
- Very creative and analytical
- Good knowledge of current business trends and statistical techniques
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Forward thinking and dynamic
- Understand importance of working interdependently
- Possesses a knowledge and understanding of databases, SPC techniques, ISO systems and continuous improvement techniques
- In-depth knowledge of business quality systems

- Degree or HND in an Electronics discipline with relevant experience (5-10 years)
