The job...
The ideal candidate must meet the following criteria:
* Hold Level 3 or above childcare qualification or equivalent
* Experience of working in a day nursery
* Experience of effectively managing, leading & motivating a team in an Early Years setting
* Experience & knowledge of the EYFS Ofsted requirement & of leading and implementing the EYFS curriculum
* Knowledge of current and relevant childcare legislation e.g. the Children's Act 1989 & Childcare Act 2006
* Accurate record keeping and the ability to maintain confidentiality
* Excellent understanding of the needs of young children and children's development
* Experience of working with children who have Special Educational Needs
* Excellent observational skills
* Recent Nursery Nurse/Room Leader experience is essential
* Trained in Paediatric First Aid desirable
