You will have the responsibility for undertaking site surveys and the system design of security systems. You will work closely with the Estimating Department to ensure detailed and viable quotes are created and customer requirements and expectations are maintained to high standards.

As an Engineering Surveyor your duties will include:

- Attending site to assist in establishing a client's security requirements and undertaking feasibility studies

- To provide detailed quantities/ requirements for the Estimating Department to be able to produce accurate quotations/ tenders in an efficient and timely manner

- To minimise the costs of a project and enhance value for money, while still achieving the required standards and quality. Many of these are specified by statutory building regulations, which the surveyor needs to understand and adhere to

- Using the surveys, undertake the comprehensive design of security systems, ensuring that the specifications meet the needs of the site and customer requirements

- Managing all quantities relating to building and civil working projects, from the initial calculations to the final figures

- Undertaking costs analysis for repair and maintenance project work

- Performing risk and value management and cost control

- Understanding the implications of health and safety regulations

- To attend any follow up meetings with the customer to discuss systems design, ensuring any amendments are followed up in a timely manner

- To attend team meetings/briefings as required, ensuring all data/information in respect of ongoing surveys/quotes are up to date and available for discussion

- Tasks may vary depending on the nature of the project being worked on and at the point in the process it's at

An ideal Engineering Surveyor will hold the following skills and experiences:

- Must have previous electronic and door entry systems experience

- Valid UK Driving License

- Knowledge of CCTV, access control or gate automation systems would be beneficial

- Fluent English spoken and written is a must

- Strong communication skills (written and verbal)

- Act professionally and courteously at all times

- Act responsibly and with necessary care for himself, the property of others and his team

- Must be a good team worker

The working hours of this role will be 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 08:30am - 5:00pm. Occasional overtime will be available.
