A high school in Salford are looking for a qualified English teacher to cover a maternity leave.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic individual to join the strong Core Zone and particularly the English Team at this High School.

They moved into a beautiful new building in September 2011. At the same time the school moved to vertical tutor groups and a zonal model for the curriculum where Maths joined with English to form the Core Zone.

This is an incredibly exciting time in the academy’s development. You will join a committed team of English teachers and will play a crucial part in securing the success of the Zone in particular, and the school as a whole.

The successful applicant will be required to teach all abilities from Year 7 to GCSE.

In October 2013 the school were inspected by OFSTED and gained a ‘Requires Improvement’ grading. This follows a Satisfactory grading in 2011. What is different this time around is that they are on the cusp of Good with their achievement & progress measures all moving in a positive direction. If the results in 2014 are as predicted, they believe they will move to Good.
