Job Purpose
•To manage the production and logistics areas of the site, and to be responsible for all production and logistics staff based at the site on a shift basis.
•To contribute to the management of a busy Sterile Services Unit, managing a team of sterile services personnel on a day to day basis, ensuring that Sterile Service provision complies with current legislation.
•To provide leadership through personal example, promoting sound departmental communication and fostering good interpersonal relationships.
A detailed outline of the role is as follows: -
1.To be responsible for the day to day running of the production

2.To monitor and control the use of capital equipment

3.To assume prime site responsibility for all Health and Safety Policy issues

4.To ensure that all designated staff are informed and trained appropriately

5.To act as site Fire Controller

6.To proactively lead all staff

7.To monitor and ensure that all product despatched conform to accepted Company Quality guidelines

8.To effectively control and manage the planned maintenance of the premises

9.To effectively plan and schedule all production

10.To approve test reports on process equipment

11.To actively monitor absence levels of staff

12.To coach, support and guide all staff

13.To agree appropriate financial parameters and budgets

14.To participate in the on call management service

15.To lead and actively promote participation in all Company communications initiatives

16.To undertake any other duties or tasks as reasonably required

Prompt issue and transmission of despatch and delivery instructions to agents, continuous progressing, advising customer of delivery giving adequate notice

Continuous monitoring of order and stock positions.

To input purchase orders, organise relevant payment facilities including L’C’s and Currency applications in good time.

To ensure customs clearance of pre-painted cargoes including presentation of all relevant documentation. To monitor container shipments and release to port in good time with correct paperwork.

Daily checking of delivery schedules, entering sales invoices and dealing with any potential problems.

Checking discharge, haulage, shipping line, Service and General invoices (and general office duties i.e. Post, filing, answering phone, ordering stationary supplies etc)

Arranging shipment inspections and Issuing letter of reserves where necessary.

Keeping track of compensation claims and issuing where necessary.
