A high profile role leading a team of qualified accountants, providing business partnering and commercial decision support to the executive committee (ExCo). As the Finance lead and a key member of management, you will build strong relationships with, and gain great exposure to, a variety of key stakeholders across the business and the Bank. This role is a critical member of the Senior Management Team (SMT) which will is responsible for managing the day to day business and working alongside ExCo to implement the strategic direction of the business.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
As a member of SMT you must be able to exert influence outside of Finance and your direct line of expertise. You will be required to input into strategic and tactical discussions on driving the business forward.
This role is a real opportunity to act as part of the team that drive the performance of the business, where you will actively participate in meetings, and where your opinions will be routinely sought. To this end, you will gain an in-depth understanding of the business and have the courage of your convictions to be able to voice views that may be contrary to the prevailing view.
1. Key finance lead for strategic/tactical decisions, business cases and new initiatives;
2. Responsible for the delivery of accurate and timely analysis (both financial and non-financial) including commercial insight and foresight, critical review and appropriate recommendations;
3. Responsible for the design and production of a broad range of outputs according to the requirements of key stakeholders, including daily, weekly and monthly performance reporting and analysis for ExCO, and a comprehensive MI pack;
4. Work alongside ExCo as part of SMT in the development of the strategy for the business
5. Support the development of new business initiatives, including the financial and strategic analysis of new business proposals
6. Overall responsibility for the monthly forecasting and annual budgeting processes, including coordination and consolidation of inputs, production of analysis and associated commentary and providing the appropriate level of challenge;
7. Responsible for pricing, including policy (governance, controls, procedures) and review;
8. Responsible for strategic monitoring including market analysis (direct and connected), competitor analysis and benchmarking, and analysis of commercial partners;
9. Responsible for divisional input into Bank reporting including flash results, quarterly performance analysis, investor relations’ seminars and queries, and other ad-hoc analysis

PERSON SPECIFICATION
1. Qualified accountant (CIMA, ACCA or ACA) with appropriate level and range of experience in a commercially focused role;
2. People management experience with evidence of developing staff;
3. Evidence of taking ownership and adding value by providing solid recommendations which support key strategic and tactical decisions;
4. Strong influencing skills with experience of stakeholder engagement and communication at all levels;
5. Strong analytical and systems skills (Microsoft);
6. Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines;
7. A driven individual, with excellent academics, looking for the next stage in what has already been fast career progression.
