Key Responsibilities as our Deputy Services Manager:

- To assist and support the Services Manager and other senior team members in all aspects of the management and service provision of MHA's Care Homes within the allocated area.

- To deputise for the Services Manager during absences.

- To monitor services, delivery of all relevant regulations and standards and MHA's business, legal and performance targets within the allocated area, proactively identifying successes, trends and areas for improvement

- Support the development of existing and new services, as directed by the Services Manager.

- To undertake the management of a Care Home, in the absence of a Manager, as required.

Key Skills and Experience needed to become our Deputy Services Manager:

- A recognised professional qualification in Management or Social Care/Housing.

- At least three years experience of managing services for people in a social care/health field.

- At least two years of effective staff leadership -appraising, training and coaching staff.

- Knowledge and understanding of core principles of care and related quality standards

- Understanding of issues and needs of older people and specific knowledge of dementia and/or nursing

- Experience of managing financial plans/budgets and business planning.

- Excellent self-management skills including ability to plan and adapt quickly to changing situations.

- Commitment to the success of the organisation and everyone in it.

The role will involve regular stays away from home and travelling, successful candidates will need to live within the area and a relocation package may be available.
