You must also be registered with the GSCC.

CHP Plant Engineer

The Role - My client has a number of prestigious long term energy supply contracts. These contracts involve the supply of heat, chilled water and electricity to a range of consumers and high profile sites.

The CHP Plant Engineer will have previous experience in this field and the relevant industry qualifications. A good demonstrable understanding of operations and maintenance, gas fired reciprocating and ideally Diesel engine Combined Heat and Power systems/boiler plant and distribution systems on a commercial/industrial level is required.

CHP engine experience is an essential requirement of the position.

* Reactive and Planned Maintenance
* Carry out the defined CHP planned maintenance regime for all contractual obligations
* Undertake relevant CHP "Condition Based" Maintenance tasks in line with the Manufacturers specification.
* Carry out repairs, overhauls, reactive maintenance and minor installation works on associated plant
* Attend, diagnose and repair faults having due regard to customer care in this specific environment.

* Complete accurate service documentation from sites works, site paperwork and report diligently to maintain and manage site and vehicle parts stocks.
* Liaise with CHP Maintenance Manager/Contract Managers and sub contractors when on site.
* Ensure relevant health and safety policy is adhered too.
* Have an understanding on Permit to Work Systems, and all other relevant Health and Safety requirements.

* A relevant technical qualification - which must include commercial gas
* Experience of industrial reciprocating engine CHP plant
* Experience of working on MTHW and steam systems
* Understanding of CHP systems and knowledge of any associated controls e.g. EMU and BMS monitoring / control networks.
* Fault-finding and practical skills
* Good mechanical and electrical knowledge in a Field Service environment.
* Able to work unsupervised and function as part of a team.
