The Role

The role is fast paced and challenging working in their inbound call centre where you will be talking to trade union members about their insurance products. Your role will be varied, whilst providing a professional inbound service to their customers and answering queries on their insurance products, you will also take the opportunity to sell products and services to these existing customers. As an experienced provider of customer service, your high level communication skills will also assist you in the retention of business and in correspondence with customers through email and letters.

The Pay

If you are someone who thrives in a targeted environment, then this could be the role for you. They offer a basic pay of £9 an hour and this increases to either £10.50 or £12 an hour when you are hitting your targets over a monthly period. You can expect an OTE of £16,380 - £22,500. On top of that, there are also bonuses for each sale you make and various daily, weekly and monthly incentives including cash vouchers, iPods and TVs. Their Customer Service team prides themselves on creating a motivated and supportive atmosphere at all times.

The Hours

They are open from Monday to Friday 9:00am to 9:00pm and on Saturdays from 10:00am to 2:00pm so there is plenty of flexibility. They are looking for someone who is able to commit to 5 days a week and be able to work 2 Saturdays a month.

Responsibilities and Duties:

* Closely monitor the performance of automated Yield systems and identify areas of improving functionality
* Responsible for the collection, analysis and reporting of flight seat sales related data
* Monitor flight sales performance against budget and market trends projecting future performance and suggest action for improvement of sales at all times
* To analyse sales statistics and capacities per sector and manipulate prices, durations and accommodation to obtain maximum yield, load factor and profit on all flights for all destinations
* To monitor competitor prices and market conditions, identify anomalies and suggest corrective action necessary to ensure a competitive edge
* To liaise with the Marketing and Agency Sales Departments to promote the sale of distressed stock to UK Agents

The Candidate:

* The role requires a candidate with excellent research, analytical, reporting and presentation skills across multiple platforms.
* Experience within the same role for another operator is desirable, as is a flexible approach to work.
* An analytical and numerical flair are very important as well as good Microsoft Excel and Access proficiency.

Full description:

Key Responsibilities:

- Maintain and coordinate all cost value reconciliation reports
- Work with site management to forecast predicted spend and cash recovery and ensure that both are kept in line with target
- Ensure compliance with all contractual requirements
- Manage sub contractor accounts including ensuring payments are timely and correct and any other commercial issues are resolved
- Identify, raise and price early warnings in line with the change control process
- Liaise with the client, client representatives and other third parties on commercial issues, including agreement of variations, claims and additional payments
- Value management for project/section of works including preparation of interim and final accounts
- Assist in the production of cost value reconciliation reports and forecast cash recovery and ensure that both are kept in line with target
- Be proactive and advise site teams on costs and management of costs
- Share best practice with others
- Work with timescales included in the commercial timetable.

Person Specification:

Knowledge & experience

- Previous experience of the construction industry, water sector experience would be preferred
- Be familiar with ICE NEC forms of contract
- Previous experience in commercial management and procurement of subcontractors, including chairing regular meetings, measurement and control cycle, certificates and accruals calculations would be beneficial
- Able to demonstrate a good knowledge of monthly reporting and earned value analysis

Skills & qualifications

- Member of RICS or working towards
- HND or degree in quantity surveying or equivalent
- Have excellent communication, numeric and computer literacy skills

- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to influence, persuade and communicate with people at all levels
