We are currently looking for a personable and technically minded individual for our well-known retail client's IT Service Desk in Manchester City Centre (M60)

Training will be 6-8 weeks and will take place in Skelmersdale WN8 8LP; this role may be more commutable therefore, from north-west Manchester, Warrington, Widnes, Wigan and Ormskirk etc.... After this initial training period, the role will be based in Manchester city centre.

You will be working alongside a team of other Helpdesk Advisors providing 1st line IT support to the business' employees throughout the UK. As the business has recently updated to Windows 2007 this will be a busy and pressurised position and you will be responsible for quickly responding to IT queries via the telephone and in-house portal, aiming for first point resolution, escalating issues when required and ensuring excellent customer service at all times. 
We are happy to see candidates with a variety of experience; interest in IT is key, and customer service is very important. Candidates can come from a background in IT, or could be a recent graduate in IT or related, or could have completed a course in IT previously. Customer service contact centre work would be beneficial due to the volume of calls that need to be taken in this role.

 This is a temporary position to start in the next few weeks. There is the possibility of extension on this which will be dependent on the business need. The working hours are 35 hours weekly Monday - Saturday (5 days over 7, working 7.5 hours between 7am - 6pm). You will be given shifts in advance and must be available to work all of these hours. The hourly rate is £10 per hour and you will be given 2 weeks of paid training .

There will be an opportunity for Surveyors to begin their APC.

This is a permanent full time position with a starting salary between £17,000 - £20,000.

The successful applicant will be a pro-active and confident individual with excellent attention to detail and a solid grounding in the built environment. You will responsible for drafting reports and proposing remedial works following site investigations for subsidence and drainage insurance claims. You will liaise with their external engineers on a daily basis to ensure that you have interpreted their findings correctly and to ensure that any further works or repairs that you are recommending are feasible and then scoped and specified accordingly. You will deal directly with their client's Loss Adjusters, Surveyors and Engineers to provide an exceptional technical service and product.

Working within a fast-paced technical team environment the successful candidate will have a can do positive attitude with problem solving skills.

You will report directly to the Managing Director who is a Chartered Structural Engineer.

The position will be based in their head office in Wallasey, the hours will be 9am to 5pm Monday to Friday.
