This organisation is the new independent, resident led champion for health and social care. Their role is to improve health and social care services in Tower Hamlets and get residents involved in service design and delivery. Currently they are looking to recruit a Signposting, Online Engagement and Administration Officer. The role has three key functions:

1. to provide local people with information on local health and social care services and how to access them.

* Act as the first point of contact for information and signposting enquiries by telephone, via website, email, text, post and in person by local residents
* Support local residents and record the details of enquiries, including follow-up provided
* Maintain and develop the signposting directory by ensuring details are up to date and through identifying gaps in knowledge and seeking to fill them
* Develop a knowledge of health and social care services information sources and how residents / service users / carers can access this information including links to external personnel
* Develop a knowledge of voluntary and community sector information and advocacy support providers and signpost residents appropriately
* Identify gaps in information relating to health and social care services and pass these to the Healthwatch Intelligence Manager
* Support volunteers to carry out an information and signposting role.

2. to implement creative approaches to the use of social media and development of online communities

* Help maintain the organisations website so that it meets the information needs of members and stakeholders, providing consistent and up to date information on the work of company
* Develop and implement creative approaches to applications of social media and coordinating and developing online communities
* Handle membership and communication with new members, e.g. acknowledgement of membership and policies.
* Support the publication of the monthly and quarterly e- newsletter which is distributed to a wide network using existing local information hubs and service points in Tower Hamlets.

The successful candidate will be an all rounder - well organized, computer literate and have excellent communication skills both over the phone and face to face.

3. to undertake the admin duties for the organization

* Must possess excellent organizational skills and have a flexible, friendly and approachable manner.
* Previous experience working within admin is essential
