Role As Project Test Engineer you will be responsible for running multiple field test projects from conception to delivery. Leading multiple projects, you will define the project work scope, develop test plans and methods, and liaise closely with internal teams and customers to ensure all requirements are met. A key aspect of your role as project test engineer will be to locate field test sites to meet testing requirements for new and existing projects. As project manager you will also be involved in analysing test results and identifying improvements within the field tests, to help drive the project and company products forward. Candidate: Ideally degree educated in an engineering discipline or equivalent, you will ideally have experience of managing projects from concept through to production in an automotive or similar environment. With a background in testing within the automotive or similar industries, you will be able to plan, create and develop field tests for a range of products. Ideally you will have an understanding of engine or transmission systems, but candidates with strong experience of testing hydraulics and lubricants within other industries will also be strongly considered. Using your understanding of tests you should be able to analyse and collate the results of the testing process and be a good problem solver, with the ability to communicate well with both internal and external customers. Some travel may be required for the role, this will be approximately 10% on average.
