The main purpose of this role is to provide high quality electrical repairs and alterations to existing fittings and fixtures, rewiring partial or full properties and reporting on the condition of electrical components and equipment contained within their stock. Within this role your main responsibilities will include assisting the management team in the diagnosis and inspection of required works, carrying out and completing all required work to the very highest standards of quality and ensuring all repairs and inspections are carried out efficiently and within timescales. You will also be expected to produce accurate records of all work undertaken, resolve any minor / routine technical difficulties on site and liaise with the public and tenants in a courteous and professional manner. There will also be occasions where you are required to work out of hours to provide a repairs / maintenance service and you may be required to take part in a call out rota for emergency works cover.

The successful candidate will have worked within a similar role previously, will have a recognised trade apprenticeship qualified to City & Guilds level in an appropriate electrical area and will ideally hold an Advanced City and Guilds qualification. You will be health and safety qualified (or have extensive working knowledge) and you will ideally have knowledge of IEE Wiring Regulations (17th Edition), periodic inspection, testing and reporting (C&G 2391) and portable appliance testing and you must be able to plaster patch and be confident when using a computer. You will be a strong communicator who is confident when dealing with people at all levels, you will be friendly and approachable and be willing to take on any additional training as required. You must also hold a full UK driving licence.

Roast Group Coffee Machine Maintenance Engineer

As part of the national field maintenance team you will be responding to re-active and planned service calls across primarily on our more specialist roast and ground equipment but also on their equipment within our entire estate. This will include working on 3 phase equipment for the speciality coffee market, in addition to some vending machines and to a lesser extent on chilled cabinets. You will be undertaking complex preventative maintenance work and preparing equipment for external assessment for pressurised vessel testing/boiler inspections.

Alongside your formal training and/or previous experience, together with the outstanding levels of training provided by the company you will be expected to diagnose and fix all types of faults (working to component level) - ensuring our Customers equipment is repaired within our agreed service levels.

Main Duties:

* Respond to re-active service calls on equipment
* Execute installations and Customer training on newly installed equipment
* Carry out preventative/routine maintenance on equipment
* Liaise with Customer and company call centre staff to ensure everyone is kept informed

Essential Skills & Experience:

* Thorough electrical knowledge including experience and confidence of working on 3 phase equipment
* Thorough mechanical knowledge (including experience of hydraulics)
* Ability to read and understand circuit & hydraulic diagrams and schematics
* Good knowledge & understanding of coffee and the culture of this sector
* Barista trained to C&G certification level
* Deciding and managing on site swap outs of speciality coffee equipment where appropriate (for workshop overhaul)
* Knowledge of all payments systems - cash or cashless
