EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

The experience required for this role is as follows:

• A proven track record in sales: A minimum of two years of experience in field sales.

• Your sales background must include experience in selling SOLUTIONS or SERVICES, as opposed to experience solely in the sales of hardware, consumer goods, commodities or “widgets”. Such experience is not eligible here I’m afraid.
• At least some knowledge of the inner workings of contact centres/call centres (i.e. IVRs, call routing, telephony platforms, etc.)

• The written communication skills to produce quality documentation for bids, quotations, proposals and tenders.

• Intermediate PC skills including Word, PowerPoint and Excel.

THE ROLE:

Your main task is here is to win new business for their outsourced call centre/contact centre offering, both inbound and outbound. To get you off to a flying start, they have a very large “warm leads” database for you in the form of their existing telecoms customers to whom the company is already known. Some of the role will consist of generating your own new business, but there will also be leads for you to respond to.

THE OPPORTUNITY:

You would be joining a growing business and this position is a focus of their current sales strategy. This role is required to deliver to the company’s 3-year strategy, which is predominately focused on growth. If the level of growth forecasted is achieved, this will generate further roles and responsibilities for you within the contact centre.

Longer-term, depending on your success in this role and the consequent growth of the contact centre, the career path from here is to move into roles such as Sales Director, Head of Sales etc.
