The Lead Software QA Tester Opportunity:

The Lead Software QA Tester will be responsible for hands-on supervision of a team of SQA Testing Analysts undertaking testing activities encompass functional (including regression) and integration testing. The role is not hands on but may be required to participate in testing if needed.

The key activates of the Lead Software QA Tester role include:

Lead Software QA Tester Selection Criteria:

> Knowledge of and experience with iterative and incremental development and appropriate supporting tools is a must - Agile would be helpful. The position requires daily interaction with globally diverse teams.
> The successful candidate will have profound knowledge and significant experience with structured risk-based testing, with a background in testing of Web-based, mobile, and content-based applications.
> Experience delivering solution in a fast paced dynamic environment is a must for this role, as is good knowledge of test management and issues tracking systems
> The successful candidate requires good knowledge of test management and issues tracking systems and the ability to report on test progress for the projects adopted for QA testing.
> Strong verbal and written communications skill are essential, as are good organisational skills.

Senior Test Analyst required by one of London's leading SAAS providers who are currently being talked about A LOT in all National and International press. They need a good permanent QA to come on board, look at what they have, suggests improvements, deploy these improvements and generally own the QA process. It's an absolutely ideal opportunity for an ambitious and confident QA who is ready to take the next step in their career.


Right now, the firm have 15 developers, a team of BA's and PM's and a very unstructured testing function. Due to their rapid expansion it is evident that they need to invest in QA. This role will be the first hire on a permanent basis (prior contractors) and will own the QA function. It will suit a hands-on Tester who has had enough of doing what he/she has been told and wants to start taking ownership of such a function. Support from the business is very much present although you'll be given autonomy there will always be a team of very talented professionals backing you, or helping you succeed in what you are looking to achieve.


So, in terms of background

5 years Testing experience
Very confident in Manual testing
Experience in automation 1 year plus
Experience of automation tools, ideally Selenium web driver
Knowledge of a development language such as C# or Java (to create test scripts and in time frameworks too).
