The incumbent will function as the European Commission Representative for them.

Key Responsibilities

- Manages the implementation of ISO 14971 for all business areas
- Functions as the EC Representative for their Healthcare
- Supports and maintains a culture of quality awareness, teamwork and cooperation with all groups within the company
- Supports vigilance and adverse event reporting requests from RA team for Anaesthesia Delivery and Ventilation (ADV) and Diagnostic Cardiology (DC) business areas
- Responsible for executing and reporting on internal audits 
- Implements product quality improvements and leads Product Quality Team (PQT) activities for ADV and DC 
- Address and reduce customer complaints through effective evaluation, documentation and evidence based decision making processes

- Ensures products conform to current medical device standards and regulations
- Creates and maintains required quality system documents and records
- Manages and executes internal audits to complement the global audit program
- Manages the implementation of the training system
- Manages the Security Working Group to maintain compliance and connection to the NHS N3 network; knowledge of ISO 27001 is desirable 
- Manages day-to-day the UK Health and Safety system including being the UK Competent person, undertaking risk assessments, fire risk assessments and management of the Health Safety committee and the WEEE and Battery Compliance scheme.

Experience and Attributes

- Knowledge of applicable medical device regulations including Quality System Regulation (21 CFR Part 820), ISO 13485, Medical Device Directive (MDD)
- Knowledge and experience in applicable regulations specific to Anaesthesia or Cardiology medical devices would be advantageous
- Effective communication skills and professional people skills
- Good understanding and experience of statistical analysis, product/process development, validation and sustaining engineering 

Knowledge, Training and Qualifications

- Experience of working in a senior Quality Assurance role in a medical device environment
- A degree or equivalent in manufacturing, Quality and/or engineering and/or electronics related subject
