Salary in the range of £28,019 - £36,996 per annum including

We have excellent facilities for the delivery of our Engineering provision, which
ranges from Level 1 through to Level 5. We currently have a number of
opportunities for individuals with good communication and interpersonal skills
and able to engage young people aged 16-19. Applicants should be prepared to
obtain an advanced teaching qualification which the College will support
financially in full over the two year period of the course.

Motor Vehicle
We require a well-organised individual with good communication skills to deliver a
range of programmes to students following Motor Vehicle courses including City &
Guilds. The role may involve travelling to workplaces in the local area and therefore
you must have your own personal transport.

You will be qualified to a minimum of Level 3 in Motor Vehicle with experience gained
within the Motor Vehicle industry and will preferably have some experience of
teaching/training or assessing.

Mechanical Engineering
We are seeking to appoint an individual with teaching and/or industry experience in
Mechanical Engineering to teach across a range of programmes. Our students are
predominantly 16-19 year olds studying a range of qualifications including Aerospace
Engineering, BTEC Foundation, Level 2 Diplomas, Extended Diplomas and Higher
National Diplomas in Mechanical Engineering.
You should possess a degree in Mechanical Engineering with a minimum of 2 years’
teaching and/or industrial experience. You should also possess or be prepared to obtain
an Assessor (A1) award.

Electronic Engineering
1 full time post maternity cover until 13th February 2015
1 part time post (21.6 hours per week) permanent
Our Engineering students are predominantly 16 - 19 year olds who follow nationally
recognised courses ranging from Level 1 City & Guilds Certificate in Performing
Engineering Operations to Level 5 HNC/HND Diploma in Electrical/Electronic Engineering.

You will be qualified to degree level in a relevant subject area and possess industrial
experience in Electrical/Electronic Engineering. Teaching or training experience within
this subject area is desirable.

Building Services
We are seeking a Lecturer to deliver a range of programmes in Building
Services/Construction from Level 1 to Level 5.

You will need to possess a degree in Civil Engineering and have experience gained
within the construction industry, and preferably some teaching experience.

Reporting to the Field Service Controller, after an initial training and induction period encompassing all aspects of Health and Safety and working at height, the successful candidate will carry out service calls on a preventative and reactive basis at customer premises as required, undertaking Preventive Service Maintenance and repair of customer’s site equipment and other manufacturer’s products and systems, in full response to customer’s requirements, whilst communicating activity and requirements with the customer in a clear and concise manner, and reporting via job sheets the activities carried out and faults found during service before resolving servicing and maintenance issues.

Complying with all Health and Safety Requirements, you will additionally provide assistance in the installation and commissioning of any machines, and will be flexible in your approach to the position and be able to carry out tasks with little or no site supervision, whilst possibly being time restrained in carrying out that task.

It is envisaged that the successful candidate will currently be working on Plant and Equipment, highly probably within a maintenance Environment, and will demonstrate experience of working with Materials Handling Equipment, Automatic process equipment with a solid mechanical background. You will be electrically Time Served and have multi-skilled experience and as the role is field based, you will be comfortable with working in various locations and varied environments under your own initiative.

A full clean driving licence, ONC or above in a relevant engineering discipline and a time served electrical engineering background are therefore essential requirements for this role, alongwith multi skilled abilities on both AC and DC controls as well as hydraulics, pneumatics and mechanical applications.
