Our client is a market leading "one-stop-Telecoms-solutions" success story, with over 10 years of successful trading experience. The Company specialises in voice and data solutions and are an accredited reseller on behalf of world class telecoms manufacturers including Avaya, Toshiba, LG and Panasonic. There is now a requirement for a Technical Support Engineer to join the Telecoms Service Desk Support team.

Technical Support Engineer - Telecoms - Avaya IP Office

This is a mixed and varied "hands on" and predominantly office based Technical Support Desk role, supporting their customers & responding, diagnosing & rectifying system/network faults. It is essential you have strong installation & technical background on the Avaya IP Office product suite and ideally Toshiba / LG and/or Panasonic range, although cross training will be available. This role is predominantly (80%) based out of the company's Hampshire / Surrey border Office. There will be some Field Engineering installations and customer site visits required, hence the Avaya IP Office Field experience necessity.

Responsibilities include:
" Assisting customers and all other departments with any technical issues, these can be both pre & post installation issues.
" Remote connection to customer systems to make programming changes as requested by customers as part of their maintenance contract.
" Liaise with customers on technical issues that they may have and, where required, arrange for an engineering visit or going onsite to rectify the fault yourself.
" Providing technical support to on-site engineers.
" Monitoring faults raised with manufacturers & Openreach.
" Ensure all other departments are up to date with any progress/issue/changes of faults and report accordingly.
" Assist engineers on site when required to complete installations.
" Liaising with the sales team and ordering required kit for jobs. Pre-configuration & testing equipment in advance of on-site engineer installations.
This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified and experienced Avaya IP Office Engineer to join a dynamic telecoms company in a key and mainly office based role with some field engineering responsibilities. The successful candidate will be a strong team player, have excellent communication and administration skills and be well presented in the office and on-site.

Ideal living location is within 1 hour commute of the Hampshire / Surrey border area.
Salary c£28K - £30k (Neg.) + vehicle + package.
