Orbis is an offshore investment firm with an outstanding performance record. We now wish to recruit a Quantitative Investment Analyst to join our team of 8 Quant Analysts to support our R&D in portfolio risk management, portfolio construction and trading implementation.

You will need a Ph.D. in an investment or economic-related discipline and a first class undergraduate degree from a world-class university. Proven experience in portfolio modelling and construction, plus experience in programming using C# and SQL. Actual investment management experience will be a strong advantage.

The role is based in London. Base salary will be a minimum of £75,000pa, depending on qualifications and experience. Bonuses will be discretionary and based on performance.

An Asbestos Surveyor is required to join a UK based contractor with international experience and capacity providing highly competent asbestos management services, soft strip demolition, fire risk assessment, FIRAS accredited fire stopping, RoSPA accredited health & safety trainings and other environmental services.

They are looking for competent and capable asbestos surveyors to join their established asbestos surveying department. Main Responsibilities:

- Carrying out Pre-Refurbishment, Pre-Demolition, Management & Reinspection Asbestos surveys to UKAS standard

- Carry out risk assessment
- Aid in ensuring reporting turnaround deadlines are met by efficient submission of samples and survey information
- Use database or company paperwork for survey completion dependant on project

We are looking to recruit an experienced PCB Engineer to work in a busy R&D Hardware department, working on a variety of projects.

The role would suit a candidate who wants the challenge and interest of working with PCBs involving a variety of technologies. A commitment to producing 'right first time' quality products is also essential.

Work Profile
This post is likely to involve undertaking a wide variety of tasks producing PCB designs from production test rigs to high end PCBs using stacked microvias, flexible circuits and controlled impedance differential lines. The Engineer would be responsible for keeping abreast of the latest PCB technology appropriate for the company’s products and maintaining the library of components for schematic design and layout.

The PCB layout would be a joint responsibility between the Design Engineer who produced the schematic and the PCB Engineer who should contribute aspects to improve manufacturability, test and EMC performance. The PCB Engineer would be expected to maintain good working relations with the PCB manufacturers and PCB populators.

The company is ISO 9001 approved so the PCB Engineer would be expected to ensure that all work would be produced to that standard.
The PCB Engineer would be expected to be the company reference point for all aspects of PCB design and manufacture.

Academic Qualifications
We are looking for a candidate with a degree in Electronics or Physics (or the equivalent).

Experience Required
The candidate should be able to demonstrate a sound understanding of PADS software and experience of working with complex boards. Other important qualities include good organisational skills and the ability to work with others. A good background understanding of electronics and mechanics as well as a demonstrable commitment to producing 'right first time' quality work are essential.
