Your day to day duties will include:

As a minimum you must have an OND/HND in a building / construction related subject such as building / quantity surveying, construction management & technology, construction engineering and technology, or a similar related subject. You will be a robust character, with a good sense of humour, posses real self motivation, attention to detail, and a broad understanding of the construction / building industry.

Desirable:

- Minimum of 6 years experience on a another High Spec/Value commercial development. Understanding of cladding and steel work, specialised within a trade, main contractor background, traditional surveying background, proven D&B work, NEC 3 / JCT experience, could have worked in crossrail, network rail and airport work.

Key duties:

- Commercial support to Design and Contract staff, preparing valuations for payment including variations, negotiating final accounts, preparing sub-contract orders and order documentation, re-measurement of bills of quantities, preparing cost budgets, and prices, monitoring costs, evaluating sub-contract tenders, reporting of contract accounts and carrying out tasks assigned to you by the Commercial Director or equivalent.

You must have a degree/HND or equivalent in Quantity Surveying. You must have substantial experience with a similar specialist or main contractor in the same industry. Membership to a professional body is helpful but not essential for the role.

This role is a permanent vacancy paying between £55,000 and £65,000 per annum plus care, pension, holidays.
