Success has led our client to create three specialist sectors dedicated to core markets; Central Government, Local Government and NHS.

They operate a centralised finance function in Ealing and is headed by a CFO and supported by a Group Financial Controller and Head of Commercial Finance and Planning. The purpose of this role is to assist the Group in ensuring all aspects of the business are optimised for financial return.

Within this role your main responsibilities will include engaging with management to analyse, support and critique investment proposals, innovation projects and operational decisions, delivering operational efficiency reviews across the group and leading / participating in budgeting, long term forecasting and business planning processes. You will also be expected to deliver financial support and challenge during bid preparation and work closely with finance and operational terms to identify areas for review and dovetail forecasting between the two finance teams.

The successful candidate will have worked within a similar role previously and will be ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified. It is essential that you are highly organised and can adapt to changing responsibilities with ease and that you are flexible in your approach with a willingness to travel through the UK. You must have excellent Excel skills with the ability to deliver financial models and reports and you should have experience of working in a multi-site environment. You will be a quick thinker who can come up with innovative and original ideas and you will be a strong communicator who is confident when dealing with people at all levels. Our client’s ideal candidate will be driven with clear ambition and will have an intuitive ability to see beyond the numbers and challenge the answers given.
