I am currently looking to recruit a level three nursery nurse to work in various child care settings within the manchester area. Need someone who is flexible regarding hours and shifts and who is passionate about working with children and improving their development. Must have some knowledge of the new EYFS and be able to put its main principles into practice to better the children your working with as well as the nursery. Staff

Ensure that all staff carry out their duties and responsibilities, that cleaning checklists are managed daily and that correct staff/child ratios are properly maintained throughout the day in your room and in the garden

Children
Administer any medicines and ensuring that all dietary requirements/allergies/medical needs are addressed and paperwork properly completed
Ensure that all children in your care are safe and avoid preventable accidents through constant supervision and observation both indoors and out
Encourage and maintain a high level of personal hygiene with the children
Ensure that you and your staff are catering for all children’s individual needs planning appropriate and fun activities, in accordance with the EYFS, covering all areas ensuring children in your room are happy, stimulated and have lots of fun both indoors and outdoors

Parents
Welcome all parents and visitors into your room being polite, courteous and smiling, paying particular attention to prospective parents ensuring they are delighted by your staff’s interaction with the children
Work in partnership with parents and carers as a key-worker coaching your staff to do the same maintaining daily contact with them through informal conversations, ensuring they are fully informed about the nursery and their child
Be the first point of contact for new children and parents and ensure that children & parents feel comfortable & safe, welcoming them appropriately and giving due regard to their concerns and questions

General
Assist with the care, maintenance and security of all equipment and toys within the nursery
Be a reliable leader of the room staff, working co-operatively and with flexibility
