Scottish Ministers are seeking to appoint the Scottish Veterans Commissioner
(SVC), the first dedicated to Armed Forces veterans in the UK. Join us in this key
role to build and enhance support for veterans in Scotland. Your overall strategic
objective as Commissioner will be to improve outcomes for veterans, by engaging with, listening to and acting on the experience of veterans, individually and collectively. You will examine the public service landscape at a strategic level, see what works and what needs to change, and identify new opportunities to drive improvement.

Applications are specifically invited from individuals with a good understanding
of both the veterans sector and wider public sector landscape in Scotland.

The post of Commissioner is a part time appointment, roughly equating to
0.5 FTE or 110 days per year. The post is remunerated in the form of a daily
fee of £275, calculated in accordance with the Public Sector Pay Policy for
Senior Appointments.

This is a fixed term appointment for a period of four years. It is expected that
the successful applicant will take up post in the summer or autumn of 2014.

This will require close working with colleagues and a sound understanding of their objectives
To be responsible for the performance management of the Digital Analytics and Insight Analyst, managing and developing them to effectively execute their role and objectives
To develop our digital analytics and optimisation methodologies and resources, reflecting industry best practice. This will include identifying, contracting and managing the optimum suppliers of analytics tools

- Demonstrated problem solving and analytical skills;
- Demonstrated experience working as part of a team;

- The candidate must be professional in both manner and appearance at all times;
- The candidate must have the ability to work under pressure, on their own initiative and as part of a team;

A full clean UK driving licence is essential.
