Our client, a not for profit Housing Association supporting older people, is seeking a marketing and communications professional to join their marketing, communications & resident involvement team based at their newly refurbished office in Seaford, between Brighton and Eastbourne. This role provides the opportunity to use your marketing and communications skills in a positive work environment, with real opportunities to make your mark in the organisation.

Working with the head of department and the team assistant, the successful applicant will help deliver the marketing and communications and resident involvement strategy. This will involve a wide variety of work, from creating compelling advertising and door drops, writing press releases and PR to helping residents shape and improve their services to them.

They are also building a £5m development of 35 one and two bedroom apartments on the same site as their office in Seaford. You will be part of the team responsible for the sales and marketing of the 15 sales properties, as well as helping support the lettings of the 20 affordable rented properties. This is a great opportunity to be a part of this process and see the beginnings of this new community.

The successful candidate will have experience of planning, delivering and evaluation of effective marketing and communications projects. They will also have excellent verbal and written communication skills, a customer focus and the ability to work effectively with operational colleagues. Strong copy writing is a must, as is an eye for good design. Experience in desk top publishing, website development and SEO / digital marketing would also be an advantage.

Specific Responsibilities of the Role include:

- To develop, brief, implement and evaluate effective marketing activities under the strategic guidance of the head of department.
- To develop and implement their PR and community engagement strategy and budget - including management of the communications assistant to identify appropriate stories for PR activity, prepare and circulate press releases.
- To manage their team assistant to plan, copy write and edit the production of New Outlook, their resident and stakeholder newsletter, through close liaison with internal departments and managers, residents, designers and printers.
- To co-ordinate and manage production and distribution of communication materials such as the Annual Review and homes leaflets, and events such as the AGM and launch events.
- Develop and produce marketing literature and materials and resident communication within budget.
- To manage their website to ensure it continually develops to meet the changing needs of customers and new technology.
- To play a key role in developing their Marketing & Communications strategy.
- To support the Head of Communications and Resident Involvement with marketing their new developments.
- To help deliver the internal communication strategy in consultation with the head of department and other senior staff.
