The company now seeks to employ a full time in-house telesales person / closer to sell the product to the target audience which ranges from independent MOT Stations to corporate MOT Groups. Also to develop new and highly effective strategies to ensure a steady stream of new business leads are inbound at all times and which work within the business model and the architecture of the business itself.

About You:

- Proven 'sales closer’ with a minimum of 2 years' experience within a similar sales role, preferably within the Automotive and/or Software industry.
- Proven and successful track record of selling face to face (client meetings, conferences, trade shows) and via the telephone.
- Experience of writing sales packages/proposals and presenting these to clients with a view to closing the sale.
- You will be an enthusiastic, hard-working, extremely organised and lively individual who comes into their own in a fast paced environment
- You will have a strong personality, clear communication skills and a logical approach to work.
- You must be confident and persistent on the phone and be able to establish a rapport with customers, coupled with excellent communication, time management and customer service skills.
- You will be dealing with a range of people up to director level.
- Able demonstrate clear and proven experience in developing new sales and maintaining existing clients going forward.
- You will be able to answer any possible questions and maintain good pre-sales and after-sales relationships with the clients.
- You will thrive in a target driven environment and have an excellent understanding of the sales process and consultative sales techniques coupled with strong organisational skills

Our clients are currently recruiting for a Senior Desktop Services Analyst to be responsible for the day to day management and quality of incidents and activities that are required to be completed by the Desktop Services Team. Operating within the Service management framework, the Desktop Services team are responsible for the day to day management of the user devices estate and working closely with Service Delivery to ensure services are delivered within the agreed SLA’s. Key Tasks and Responsibility

• Undertakes routine installations and de-installations of items of hardware and/or software. Takes action to ensure targets are met within established safety and quality procedures, including, where appropriate, handover to the client.
• Uses system management software and tools to collect agreed performance statistics. Carries out agreed system software maintenance tasks.
• Provides technical expertise to enable the correct application of operational procedures
• Contributes to the planning and implementation of maintenance and installation work
• Ensures that incidents and requests are handled according to agreed procedures. Ensures that documentation of the supported components is available and in an appropriate form for those providing support. Creates and maintains support documentation.

Skills and Experience

• ITIL ® Foundation in IT Service Management is desirable
• Has good inter-personal skills. Is well organised and practical, with a logical, analytical approach to problem solving. Pays careful, close attention to detail.
• Has an understanding of installing many of the items of hardware and/or software to be found in own organisation; has also acquired expertise in several areas of installation
• Experienced on Dell, HP, Windows XP, Windows 7, Microsoft Office 2010
• Displays a responsible attitude to following procedures, keeping records, and caring for equipment and other assets.
• Has a good knowledge of at least one software platforms and good knowledge of two or more system software products which are used by the organisation. Has a good understanding of the system interfaces.

• Corrects malfunctions, calling on other experienced colleagues and external resources if required, and initiates action to ensure best use is made of available network assets.

• Analyses work in progress, takes action to ensure targets are met within safety and quality procedures, including hand-over to client where appropriate
• Assists with preparation of software implementation procedures with fall back contingency plans. Installs and tests new versions of system software.
• Provides detailed personal advice and guidance to all users in the effective use of systems, products and services available to them; demonstrates ingenuity in applying knowledge to non-standard situations.
• Assists users in making more effective use of desk-top systems, products and services, investigating complex problem situations to diagnose underlying causes and helping users to recover or continue operation.
• Ensures that requests are handled according to agreed procedures. For all requests that cannot be resolved, provides an effective interface between users and service providers supplying all necessary diagnostic information. Uses judgement to set priority for resolution, monitor progress and apply escalation procedures for incident not progressing satisfactorily.
• Interprets technical manuals and documentation and provides instruction manuals for non-technical users; provides training in all modes of usage of systems, products and services providing information on the full range of capabilities including dealing with exception conditions

The Role:

The Senior Systems Engineer will be the senior member of the Systems Engineering team for the x-ray baggage scanning group. Whilst tasks will involve all aspects of Systems Engineering, you will have particular responsibility for the system controls.

              
Key Responsibilities:

The Systems Engineer shall be responsible for:

- Controls and system integration for x-ray baggage scanners, using Allen Bradley PLC and associated technology.
- General control engineering and other PLC programming activities for baggage scanning and other projects.
- Acting as design authority and subject matter expert where appropriate.
- General systems engineering – requirements management, systems testing, interface documentation.
- Providing leadership and direction to junior members of the team.
- Assisting and/or deputising for the Chief Engineer.

 
Experience and Attributes:

Essential experience:

- PLC programming experience, preferably with Allen Bradley/RSLogix.
- OPC technologies and SCADA systems.
- General systems engineering processes and procedures including requirements writing, system testing and verification.

 
Experience of software programming (C/C++) and especially Linux based systems would be highly desirable.

 Knowledge of airport baggage handling systems would be a bonus but general experience of control and automation engineering will be considered.

 
Knowledge, Training  and Qualifications:

Candidates should be degree qualified in Engineering or a similar technical subject. Equivalent experience is also acceptable.

This role is likely to require some travel overseas.
