The Technical Sales Manager position will suit an experienced Sales Professional with in-depth knowledge and understanding of the UK Construction market. Specific knowledge of the Ceramic Brick and Tile sectors would be a distinct advantage but is not absolutely essential.

A technical background in Ceramics/Ceramic colours would be extremely useful; however full training on these aspects of the role will be provided for the right applicant.

The ability to work on own initiative and to manage own workload and diary are pre-requisites for this position. The successful Technical Sales Manager will report directly to the UK Sales Director - Technical Ceramics.

ROLE OUTLINE

Responsibilities will include dealing with in‐bound telephone enquiries, sales order processing and associated administrative duties, resolving customer queries and communicating relevant company and product-related information.

Reporting to the Contracts Manager, you will work alongside our internal Contract management and Tendering personnel. You will also work closely with our Field Sales team to maximise communication, customer relationships and sales opportunities.

ROLE REQUIREMENTS

The ideal candidate will have a proven background in sales administration, coupled-with experience in customer service, have a confident and professional telephone manner and be self-motivated.
The ability to manage a broad product portfolio whilst working to a high level of accuracy and maintaining attention to detail is imperative.
As is the capability to remain focused within a lively, colourful and dynamic team environment.

Applicants must be IT literate with all Microsoft packages.

This is a full time position, office-based in Macclesfield.

Salary is negotiable depending on experience.

Office hours are 9.00am – 5.00pm with 1/2 hour for lunch break (un-paid). 28 days holiday entitlement, which includes UK public holidays.
