Duties and Responsibilities:
Our client has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Project Development Officer to work for the Development and Technical Team.

As Project Development Officer you will secure the effective and efficient delivery of housing, specifically affordable housing to promote the creation of sustainable, balanced and vibrant communities within North and Mid Wales.

You will need to establish and maintain effective partnership working at regional, sub regional and local levels with organisations such as the Welsh Government, Local Authorities third sector organisatons, landowners, developers, internal partners and other stakeholders.

Candidate Requirements:
For the role of Project Development Officer you will preferably have a relevant construction related qualification in addition to having good interpersonal skills. You will also need to able to work to achieve objectives with minimum supervision and also be able to work as part of a team.

Decisive, imaginative, full of initiative and a good team player you'll provide effective support to the Development Manager and Director delivering a range of projects on time and within budget.

A good understanding of the development processes from working in a busy development department is desirable; be well organised with excellent communication and project management skills and be able to demonstrate a thorough understanding of scheme feasibility and the ability to carry out scheme financial appraisals in partnership with our financial team.

This position is based in St. Asaph.

Reporting to the Senior Sales Manager, the role of Business Development Manager is to work with the sales team and other managers to increase sales opportunities with prospective and existing clients and thereby maximise revenue for the company.

As Business Development Manager your duties will be varied including but not be limited to;

* Prospecting for potential new clients and new markets
* Responding to tenders and requests for information in a timely manner
* Planning approaches and presentations
* Managing client proposals whilst abiding by quality procedures
* Building relationships with new clients
* Presenting new products and services and enhancing existing relationships
* Actively managing the sales process

Salary: £26,000 - £30,000, starting level dependent on current experience

Performance Bonuses: To be discussed at interview

Other Benefits: Company pension after 6 month qualifying period, 24 days annual leave plus statutory holidays, and free onsite parking.

Hours of Work: Monday to Thursday 8:30am to 5:00pm, and Friday 8:30am to 3:30pm.

Due to the nature of the role flexibility will be required to meet the needs of the business.

Contracted Hours: Full time, 39 hours per week

You will work closely with the in-house surveyors, the sales team, and production management throughout the design process; to enable you to create cutting lists for manufacture. .
An understanding of working with timber and its manufacture would be advantageous, as would technical understanding of the type of products we work with.
