• Ensure realistic Benefits Realisation plan are drawn up and benchmark metrics assembled. Provide clear map for benefits identified in the business case to be monitored and achieved with the Sales Management Team.
• Deliver high quality solutions that fulfil business requirements and achieve the business case. And that this can be referenced in the End of Project Review.
• Assess the impact of business changes and work within the Secure Engineering and Logistics Management Teams.

The Role:

Key Responsibilities:

The Systems Engineer shall be responsible for:

- Controls and system integration for x-ray baggage scanners, using Allen Bradley PLC and associated technology.

- General systems engineering – requirements management, systems testing, interface documentation.
- Providing leadership and direction to junior members of the team.

Experience and Attributes:

Essential experience:

- PLC programming experience, preferably with Allen Bradley/RSLogix.
- OPC technologies and SCADA systems.
- General systems engineering processes and procedures including requirements writing, system testing and verification.

 
Experience of software programming (C/C++) and especially Linux based systems would be highly desirable.

 Knowledge of airport baggage handling systems would be a bonus but general experience of control and automation engineering will be considered.

 
Knowledge, Training  and Qualifications:

Candidates should be degree qualified in Engineering or a similar technical subject. Equivalent experience is also acceptable.

This role is likely to require some travel overseas.
