Overall Purpose

Key Tasks

To contunually review delivery methodology and search for innovative ways to improve value through the assessment process
To liaise closely with all relevant parties to ensure service levels are maintained
The successful candidate will be in possession of relevant professional qualifications (A1/A2, TAQA) and also be in possession of a Level 4 teaching qualification (e.g. CTTLS), in addition to a Level 2 qualifications in Literacy, Numeracy and ICT (or be willing to work towards ICT).

You will be responsible for managing a Room Manager, Assistant Room Manager, EYP?s, Trainee Early Years Educator, QEYE and Assistant EYE.

Qualifications Required
Essential: NNEB, BTEC, NVQ3 or equivalent childcare qualification
Desirable: Level 4 Diploma in Early Years, Foundation Degree in Early Years, BA Hon Degree in Early Years, Early Years Professional Status

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Payroll Officer to take ownership of the payroll in a multi-site professional organisation. The Payroll Officer will be a member of the HR department and will work alongside the HR Officer. The team is based at the prestigious Millennium Point building at the heart of Eastside - Birmingham's learning and technology quarter. Our payroll services are administered through a third party arrangement

They are looking for an individual who will ensure that the monthly payroll will be administered in a competent and professional manner. You will have broad payroll experience, including previous exposure to working with an outsourced payroll provider. As the organisation's payroll 'expert' you will have a good working knowledge of tax, NI, pensions, childcare vouchers and other deductions, together with an understanding of the relationship between payroll and the finance function. Ideally you will have knowledge and experience of administering the Local Government Pension Fund (LGPS) Scheme.

You will possess good communication skills and be highly organised with an interest and ability in dealing with detail. You will be proficient in the use of excel to advanced level. You will have a recognised book keeping or payroll qualification such CIPP Chartered Institute of Payroll Professionals and experience of working with an external payroll provider.

This is a part-time job for 22.5 hours per week. The hours can be worked in three full days or spread across four or five days. To a large degree the organisation can be flexible to meet the requirements of the individual.
