As a credible member of the Developer Services Team you will:
•Lead a team within the DS Design, Build and Technical Engineering Section to ensure that water supply and wastewater schemes are handled, designed and managed within the statutory, regulatory and financial frameworks
•Provide professional management and administration of DCC outsourced contracts for design and construction of schemes undertaken by your team, and co-ordinate associated commercial processes
•Lead, support and motivate your team, whilst managing their operational performance, supporting the delivery of their services
•Ensure best in class Health and Safety performance both externally and internally on your schemes
•Identify and implement best practice from across the water and other sectors of the construction industry
•Promote relationships with external stakeholders engaged in activity directly related to the design, build and regulatory functions of DS

•Administer the DCC outsourced contracts as required by your team, including responsibility for delivery of schemes and for their commercial performance within the contractual requirements

•Act as principal point of escalation within your team; resolving day-to-day design, engineering and/or project management issues, and escalating to the Principal Engineer as appropriate
•Review and finalise proposals and offers being made by DS on behalf of DCWW and undertake agreement with the Principal Engineer and others within DCWW
•Check the quality of output from your team, in accordance with DCWW QMS requirements, agree remedial measures with the Principal Engineer and implement them within your team
•Promote stakeholder relations, representing DCWW at meetings with external parties to ensure that DCWW’s interests are protected at all times and that risks to the business are minimised. Escalate matters to the Principal Engineer as appropriate.
•Comply with DCWW Health and Safety requirements and ensure that all projects designed comply with CDM regulations
•Ensure that service delivery by your team remains compliant at all times with policy and legislation
•Work collaboratively with delivery partners/contractors to ensure that schemes deliver on time and to expectation.
•Assist the Principal Engineer in developing and maintaining processes and procedures with the Design, Build and Technical Engineering function
•Represent the Principal Engineer as appropriate, in internal and external matters

As a result of continued growth we are now looking to recruit a fully qualified Commercial Refrigeration Engineer preferably with extensive commercial experience to cover a number of leisure sectors i.e.: hotels

The role will mainly involve maintenance calls to these sites. Some planned service operations and installation work is from time to time. You will be required to carry out works on all commercial refrigeration systems within their client`s premises which predominantly would be Restaurants and commercial buildings.

You will be positive in approach, able to work in a dynamic business environment, but above all be committed to the delivery of outstanding customer service. The ideal candidate will have a wealth of experience in refrigeration engineering, be positive and motivated and if needed be able to think outside the box. Previous experience in a similar role a must.

You should be a qualified Refrigeration Engineer and must possess a C&G 2079 certificate (F Gas Regulations). We can only consider people who have the 2079 (F Gas) qualification, so please do not apply unless you have this.

The types of equipment you will be working on include Commercial Kitchen Fridge, Bottle Coolers, Cellar Cooling and Walk in Fridges and Freezers (Split and Pod)

Candidates must also have a full and valid UK driving licence.

You will responsible for drafting reports and proposing remedial works following site investigations for subsidence and drainage insurance claims. You will liaise with their external engineers on a daily basis to ensure that you have interpreted their findings correctly and to ensure that any further works or repairs that you are recommending are feasible and then scoped and specified accordingly. You will deal directly with their client's Loss Adjusters, Surveyors and Engineers to provide an exceptional technical service and product.

Working within a fast-paced technical team environment the successful candidate will have a can do positive attitude with problem solving skills.

You will report directly to the Managing Director who is a Chartered Structural Engineer.

The position will be based in their head office in Wallasey, the hours will be 9am to 5pm Monday to Friday.
