As our Homecare Worker you will provide personal care and support to customers in their own homes. You will be working with people as individuals, supporting them to keep their independence and dignity while making sure that they are safe and comfortable.

Key Responsibilities as our Homecare Worker:

- Provide personal care to customers as instructed to include getting up in the morning, washing/bathing and dressing and prompting medication administration

- Assist with toileting needs including emptying and cleaning commodes, changing catheter bags

- Provide assistance with domestic tasks including bed making, laundry, shopping, cleaning and assist with meals as necessary

- Make meals, drinks and snacks where necessary

- Provide support with Social Health and Well Being as part of a care plan

- Ensure that care plans are followed and monitor and report any changes in health and social circumstances of customers to At Home Team Leader

- Carry out training and development activities as identified and agreed in consultation with your line manager

- Learn, understand and implement all health and safety and security regulations and report any hazards or concerns to senior staff

Key Skills needed to become our Homecare Worker:

- Previous experience working in a care setting is desirable, full training will be given and no experience is necessary.

- NVQ level 2 or equivalent is an advantage but not essential.

- A current driving licence or access to a means of mobility support is essential.

- Understanding of health and safety issues relating to the delivery of personal care and the environment in which services are provided

- Understanding and knowledge of older people and/or disabilities

- Ability to understand and respond to individual requirements including cultural and religious
