Risktec is an established, independent and specialist risk management consulting and training company, and is part of the TÜV Rheinland Group. We assist clients in major hazard industries as well as commercial and public sectors to manage health, safety, security, environmental and business risk.
Risktec consultants are highly qualified experienced professionals, who come from a wide range of backgrounds, who are motivated with a clear focus on meeting clients' expectations. Our collective, hard-earned experience of working across a wide range of different industries, environments and cultures, means we consider all factors and are able to deliver solutions for risk improvement that meet each client's needs. Our risk management consultants must have the ability to fully understand our clients’ needs and to have the required experience and knowledge to be able to present high quality, efficient and cost effective solutions to their problems.
Risktec have a unique opportunity for high quality graduates to build this experience and knowledge by joining our graduate development scheme, working within the UK Nuclear industry. If successful, you will be employed by Risktec Solutions and will work within our existing graduate teams who are currently embedded within one of our major nuclear industry clients, for a minimum period of one year, with the possibility of extension. Working as part of our graduate Equipment Reliability Acceleration Teams, you will identify and implement changes to the operation and maintenance of a nuclear power station that will help to maximise efficiency and minimise downtime of the stations. You will gain an in-depth understanding of risk management, design and operations within large scale, major hazard sites. In parallel, Risktec will provide a structured training programme in Risk and Safety Management. After the period of working with our client, you will emerge as trained, experienced consultants whose skills and experience will be invaluable.
We require graduates in the disciplines of Electrical, Electronic, Mechanical and Chemical Engineering, although other related disciplines will also be considered.
This opportunity has high visibility and profile so excellent interpersonal and written skills are required.
Due to the nature of the work, the candidates must have a suitable background that will allow them to achieve UK security clearance (please note that this is very difficult to achieve within the timescales for non UK nationals, and you will subject to a screening process prior to interview to ensure that you meet the security clearance criteria).
You must be flexible in work location and have your own transport/clean driving license. These positions could be based at any of our client sites/power stations across the UK although you will be able to indicate preferred locations.
A competitive salary and benefits package is offered and, once you have been trained and have gained experience, the opportunities for career development are endless.
